Lofty company was established in 1954 by Mr. Lofty Abdel Rahman where it specialized in the production of various men's shoes and which used to be produced in a small workshop in one of Cairo's suburbs in El Ataba zone. And exactly in 1962, translocation took place to a factory at El Waylee zone in Cairo.

The lofty family second generation (Eng. Mohamed, Eng. Essam, accountant. Tarek) started to practice work in 1982, Eng. Mohamed and his brother Essam started in 1985 then accountant. Tarek in1986.

1983: The lofty family participated in establishing coutchie sports Shoes Company.

1985: A new activity started for lofty company; namely, the lofty collection which depended on the compatibility of the produced shoes with the various feminine tastes through the inauguration of the first branch specializing in offering adequate clothes and shoes all their raw materials being of fabric.

1988: 3 new lines were supplemented and effacacetated to the company activities. And through these activities the number of branches practicing their activities there from reached 26 branches. And the company proved that it is of the best companies in Egypt specialized in the manufacture of shoes and commercializing them.

Year 2000: The first company for Industry and Trading (S.A.E) was established and the various lofty companies were merged into it in order to keep pace with the ever increasing volume of work and the anticipated development.

Year 2003: The lofty shops chain has been considered the major shoes chain in Egypt for practicing the activity and trade agreement was implemented and which implies the elimination of customs on products produced in the Arab states. The company decided to start extending its activity beyond Egypt through opening branches under the name "LOTFY" in the surrounding Arab states.

Year 2005: The company decided to start a stage of changing and developing the means of exhibiting and offering the company products through the new look and the Maadi grand Mall has actually been opened.
